Affordability & Housing

Affordability & Housing

Las Vegas home prices have risen significantly since 2020, and corporate investors now own a disproportionate share of local rentals.

I support limits on corporate bulk buying of single-family homes to protect homebuyers.

A home is more than just four walls; it is the foundation of a stable life. Yet, for too many in our County, the dream of homeownership is slipping away. Recent data from the Las Vegas Review-Journal shows a staggering 58% of Nevada renters are now “cost-burdened,” meaning they are forced to spend 30% or more of their hard-earned income just to keep a roof over their heads. We must increase our housing supply, fast-track affordable developments, and protect residents from being priced out of their own neighborhoods.

Homes are for families, not hedge funds. I will fight for zoning reforms that fast-track affordable housing and protect our neighborhoods from being bought out by out-of-state corporations and priced out of their own neighborhoods. We are 100,000 living units short in our Valley. When your rent or mortgage exceeds more that 30% of your income you are considered cost-burdened. Clark County can and must find solutions for the housing shortage and affordability crisis by managing zoning limitations for multi-family housing, rising construction costs, infrastructure and development fees on developers, financing and interest rates, housing supply shortages by creating tax and financial incentives, subsidies and infrastructure support, cutting red-tape, and public private partnerships.

Economic Opportunity & Small Businesses

Economic Opportunity & Small Businesses

We live in a district where voters are hardworking and are increasingly focused on their wallets and the cost of living in southern Nevada, struggling with exorbitant gas prices, high grocery bills, health care and auto insurance costs, and high rent.

I support streamlining the county licensing process and cutting red-tape for small businesses and entrepreneurs, by providing subsidies and expanding grant programs to small business owners and entrepreneurs.

As a small business owner myself, I know first hand how hard it is to navigate owning a business and afford the costs of running a business. Small businesses are the backbone of District F. I’ll work to cut the red-tape and streamline processes that hold back our local entrepreneurs. I want to ensure Clark County remains a place where you can start a business and thrive without being regulated out of existence. We need to innovate with technologies to streamline and solve fixable problems that help us serve our community and businesses better.

Tax breaks and subsidies should not just be for the big corporations, our small business owners should also benefit from government investments.

Jobs & Smart Growth

Creating Jobs and Diversifying the Economy

Building a better tomorrow means looking toward growing areas like renewable energy, health sciences, skilled labor, and technology based industries.

I support expanding vocational training and apprenticeship programs to ensure our residents are the first in line for these new job opportunities.

We must offer competitive, performance-based incentives to businesses that commit to hiring locally and investing in workforce development. Projects like the new Haas Automation facility don’t just bring factory jobs; they bring engineering roles, specialized technician positions, and a massive boost to our local supply chain. By bringing in diverse industries and new revenue streams, from tech to tools, we protect Clark County and our state from the boom-and-bust cycles of the past.

Improving Healthcare

Improving Healthcare

Nevada consistently ranks at the bottom in healthcare access and mental health services.

I support the expansion of the Las Vegas Medical District and prioritizing the use of county funds to incentivize and recruit more primary care physicians and mental health specialists.

Being in a healthcare family and having my husband serve our community the last 24 years as a physician, I believe no Nevadan should have to leave the state to get quality care. I will leverage my experience in healthcare technology to continue to modernize our county health services and make mental health support a priority for everyone. Residents of District F should not have to search across town for quality care or wait for months on end to see a primary care, ob-gyn or specialist. I will work to bring providers to our district to ensure our most vulnerable populations have convenient access to care.

Better Education

Better Education

Clark County residents are increasingly concerned with our education system across our state.

I support expanding public-private partnerships to provide vocational and technical training starting in high school to prepare students for “green” and tech jobs. I also support enhancing our after school programs to include more of the arts.

As a co-author of Nevada’s Holocaust and Genocide Education Bill and a parent of two beautiful children, I believe in an education that builds character and career-readiness. I will work to ensure our schools are producing graduates ready for the 2026 economy. I also want to use my work in advocating for human rights to ensure that students are learning about the diverse cultures and the important history that make up our communities.

Neighborhood Safety

Neighborhood Safety

Crime and public safety remain top-of-mind for District F voters. Public safety is the foundation of a thriving community.

I support a public safety strategy that combines strong community partnerships, community policing, and working to ensure that these issues continue to be a top priority for the Clark County Commission.

Public safety is the foundation of a strong and thriving community. I will support our first responders and invest in resources to keep our streets safe and our response times fast. I will also listen to the community as issues come up that need to be addressed like traffic safety, crosswalks, and safety in our parks and neighborhood areas. To ensure District F and all of Clark County remain safe places to live, work, and raise a family, we must have a multi-faceted strategy. My priorities will focus on accountability, community partnership, and modernizing our approach to crime prevention.

Infrastructure, Transportation, & Smart Growth

Infrastructure, Transportation, & Smart Growth

Rapid population growth is straining infrastructure and water resources across Southern Nevada.

I support prioritizing smart growth that aligns new developments with existing water conservation goals and traffic infrastructure that works for all of our communities.

Growth is good, and it must be smart. I will ensure that every new development project in our district includes a vision and plan for sustainable water use and infrastructure- such as utilities, sewer and roads- and doesn’t leave our current residents stuck in more traffic and construction. As District F continues to grow we must think ahead about how the infrastructure can meet the needs of the current residents, but also plan for the future so that as we grow we can ensure we have what we need in the Southwest to be sustainable. Thinking and planning ahead about the importance of investing more in our public transportation systems is going to be key as we address accessibility issues in our part of the county. 58% of Clark County is estimated to hit 3 million people by 2045, and we must be thinking ahead about how we prepare for that growth.

Affordable Childcare and Universal Pre-K

Affordable Childcare and Universal Pre-K

Many families in District F struggle to find and afford the quality childcare they need to remain in the workforce and ensure their children are prepared for the future.

I support expanding county-level investments in early childhood education to ensure all families have access to affordable, high-quality early care and pre-k education opportunities.

As a mother, I know that childcare and a good education isn’t just a family issue—it’s an economic one. The cost of childcare should not be the price of a paycheck or more costly than sending your child to college in state for a year.  All families should have access to affordable, high-quality early care and education opportunities that are welcoming and inclusive of all families. I will fight for a system that provides for a well-trained and compensated workforce and creates environments where all children can thrive. My goal is to ensure every child is ready and successful for school and life regardless of their race, ZIP code, ability, or identity. The county must start looking for ways to invest in childcare facilities and access to care for more families. Clark County doesn’t have to reinvent the wheel; we can look to New Mexico, which became the first state to offer free childcare to nearly all its residents.
